Native Youth Attend NACA Emerging Leaders Summit

On August 16, CNAY staff participated in the Native American Contractors Association's Emerging Native Leaders Summit in Washington, DC. The annual summit provides training to youth on the topics of Business Basics, Understanding Industry, and Indian Law and Advocacy, which are provided by subject matter experts in each respective field. The summit provides youth with the opportunity to develop and sharpen skills, and learn the most up to date information to impact their success in business. Along with trainings, youth heard from keynote speakers and attend a networking reception with hill staff, business leaders, and local organization leadership. This year NACA has partnered with CNAY on via the Generation Indigenous (Gen-I) initiative to help remove the barriers that stand between Native youth and their opportunity to succeed.
