This NOW message contains information about the launch of the NAT$VE in the BANK Initiative for Native Youth.
As a partner of Generation Indigenous (Gen-I), the National Congress of American Indians (NCAI) has joined forces with the Native Financial Education Coalition (NFEC) to create the NAT$VE in the Bank initiative that promotes financial responsibility and self-sufficiency. Native youth ages 12 to 25 are invited to participate in the initiative and enter a raffle to win great prizes!
Getting Involved:
NAT$VE in the BANK requires participants to take four easy steps:
- Complete a short, fun online course on financial education;
- Open an account with a bank or credit union;
- Take a “selfie” picture with a bank/credit union representative; and
- Share financial goals in life through an essay or artwork.
Prizes:
Participating youth will receive a NAT$VE in the BANK t-shirt. If a participant recruit at least three friends to participate in NAT$VE in the BANK, that participant will be entered for a chance to win an iTunes gift card, an iPad mini, and a trip to NCAI’s 2015 Annual Convention in San Diego.
To learn more about NAT$VE in the BANK, please visit the NFEC website or email Tyler Owens from NCAI at towens@ncai.org.
Deadline to Participate: Friday, September 25, 2015
