“SPORTS MATTER”

The DICK’S Sporting Goods Foundation believes in the importance of youth athletics and launched
the Sports Matter
program to address the growing issue of underfunded youth sports teams. To be considered for this funding, your sports team must be able to
demonstrate it has been impacted by funding challenges in one of three ways:

• Your Team is no longer able to play (i.e. it
  used to exist but was cut, and funding would bring the Team back);
• Your Team is on the brink of being cut (i.e. it
  will be cut out of next year’s programming due to funding cuts, but could
  survive with funding through this Program); or
• Your Team has never existed, primarily due to a
  lack of funding (i.e. it has never existed because of a lack of access to
  funding, but could be created with funding).

Applications will be accepted until they receive a total of 575 applications OR if they reach the Friday, March 21, 2014 (6:00 pm ET) deadline
– whichever occurs first. Only fully completed applications will be considered
for participation in the Sports Matter program. You will receive a confirmation email once your application is
submitted.
