This Gen-I Native Opportunities Weekly (NOW) message shares information about the Library of Congress Junior Fellows Summer Intern Program 

The LOC Junior Fellows Summer Intern Program is a paid, 10-week full-time internship that will take place from May 30 to August 4, 2017. Junior Fellows collaborate with world-class curators and specialists on an exciting array of projects that span the Library’s vast collections. Their work helps expand access and information for students, teachers, librarians, researchers, and historians across the world.

Junior Fellows combine their interests and skills to make materials available – for example, cataloging items and creating finding aids to facilitate research; using scientific inquiry to support preservation efforts; and curating sets of materials into onsite and online web exhibits.   • US Citizens
  • Currently enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution of higher learning at the undergraduate (college, university, or Tribal College) or graduate levels or have graduated no earlier than spring 2017 from an undergraduate or graduate program.
  • Applicants must be a first time intern with the Junior Fellows Summer Intern Program. Program participants from previous years are not eligible to reapply.

DEADLINE: Friday, January 27, 2017 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time.
