CNAY Engages Youth at Annual THRIVE Conference

THRIVE-logoThe Northwest Portland Area Indian Health Board’s suicide prevention program, THRIVE, invited CNAY to deliver a plenary session to nearly 70 Native youth aged 13-19 at their 6th Annual Conference. The conference brought youth together to learn about suicide prevention, positive self-expression, and healthy relationships while incorporating Native culture, traditional learning strategies, and skill-building activities.

CNAY staff spoke to the youth and invited them to participate in the Center’s work by joining the Gen-I network and the Gen-I Online Roundtable.

The conference included several interactive, educational workshop tracks including connecting with Native heritage through music, digital storytelling, healthy living, and leadership development.
