American Indian Science and Engineering Society Scholarship Opportunities

The American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES) provides students with opportunities to pursue and fund college and career paths in Science, Engineering, Technology (STEM) fields.

Previous and current sponsors of these opportunities include Google, Intel, Burlington Northern Santa Fe, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, among others.

AISES ExxonMobil Geosciences (Field Work) Scholarship Program
Deadline: April 15, 2016

Up to seven (7) $3,000 scholarships to assist students pursuing degrees in the geosciences in financing field work and research.  Scholarships are intended to directly support geology mapping / geological field based analysis, or geophysical fieldwork.

AISES A. T. Anderson Memorial Scholarship
Deadline: May 2, 2016

$1,000 for undergraduates or $2,000 for graduate students.  Open to students pursuing degrees in Mathematics, Medical Sciences, Physical Science, Technology, Science, Engineering, or Natural Resources.

Burlington North Santa Fe (BNSF) Foundation Scholarship
Due Date: May 2, 2016

$2,500 per academic year for high school seniors who reside in one of the 13 states serviced by the BNSF. Open to students pursuing degrees Business, Mathematics, Natural/Physical Sciences, Technology, Engineering, Education, Medicine or Health Administration.

Chevron Corporation Scholarship
Due Date: May 2, 2016

$5,000 for the academic year for undergraduate or graduate students.  Must be pursuing a degree that is beneficial to Chevron business.  This may include STEM degrees as well as business related studies.

Intel Scholarship
Due Date: May 2, 2016

$5,000 for undergraduate or $10,000 for graduate students.  Open to students pursuing degrees in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and Electrical Engineering.  Chemical Engineering and Material Science will also be considered.

Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and Strategic Systems Program Scholarship
Due Date: May 2, 2016

Open to high school seniors. Consists of two parts, a one-time $10,000 scholarship awarded freshman year; and an opportunity to apply for summer employment, which provides technical work experience and continued tuition assistance.

NextEra Energy – Ford Dry Lake Scholarship Program
Due Date: May 2, 2016

$30,000 payable in installments of $5,000 per semester to undergraduate or graduate students. Open to students pursuing degrees in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and Material Science. MUST be a member of one of the 11 participating tribal communities in the Ford Dry Lake Area.
