CNAY Presents During George Washington University Native Heritage Month Event Series

On Friday, November 20, George Washington University hosted a panel discussion entitled “Intersections of Loss“, an event focused on the high rates of youth suicide among Native and LGBTQIA individuals. The panel was part of GWU’s Native American Heritage Month event series.12027134_728561580621290_4572685692060709799_o

CNAY staff served on the panel to provide background and resources on youth suicide in Indian Country and highlight work being done by organizations, Native communities and Native youth themselves to combat this epidemic, with a special focus on efforts supporting two-spirit Native youth.
