In late-October, 2015 Champion for Change, Rory Taylor, and thousands of dynamic leaders, advocates, and other equity stakeholders will take on racial equity issues at the Equity Summit 2015 in Los Angeles, CA. Rory will speak on panel titled “Changing the Narrative About Boys and Men of Color” to share his perspectives. Rory, a college sophomore, has been very engaged with CNAY since being selected as a Champion for Change earlier this year. This summer, Rory served as an intern at CNAY and participated in a host of events and opportunities, including being on a panel with US Secretary of the Interior Sally Jewell in July.
We’re excited about Rory’s participation and know that he will do well! More information about the Equity Summit is below:
Summit attendees will get to explore Los Angeles through mobile workshops, build new skills through over 60 session offerings, and learn about cutting-edge strategies in organizing, research, communications, and advocacy from a dynamic cast of speakers and presenters who are putting equity at the center of their demands for real and lasting change.
