June 3, 2015 Gen-I NOW: American Indian Summer Institute

This NOW message contains information about the American Indian Summer Institute at Sacramento State University.

The American Indian Summer Institute is a free five day program for Native American students who are high school sophomores and juniors. The program will be housed at California State University-Sacramento and will be focused on Science and Natural Resources in addition to college preparation.

Award: Cost of attendance at the Institute is free and includes room and board and all other activities during the program.

Purpose: The Institute was created to provide introductory exposure to Native American students interested in attending college. The Institute also focuses on developing leadership skills as well as helping students become comfortable in a college setting.
