Gen-I Thunderclap on April 8!

Gen-I + CNAY partnership logoHoo-vah-ee (“How are you doing?” from the Pueblo of Isleta Tiwa Language)Today’s Gen-I NOW invites you to join a social media campaign through Thunderclap to tell the world why we must do more to #InvestinNativeYouth!

The President launched Generation Indigenous (Gen-I), a Native youth initiative focused on removing the barriers that stand between Native youth and their opportunity to succeed. As a Gen-I partner, the Center for Native American Youth needs your help with a Thunderclap campaign.

You’re probably asking yourself: What is a Thunderclap? It’s a social media platform that allows people to pledge to Tweet or Facebook a message all on the same day — and at the exact same time — in order to achieve the maximum effect. Think of it as an online flash mob that will help raise awareness of Native youth!

FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO PARTICIPATE:

1. Click here and choose either “Support with Twitter” or “Support with Facebook” – or both!
2. Add your name to the Thunderclap campaign.
3. Share with your friends and network!

If you sign up, the following message will be automatically posted on April 8 at 11:30 AM EST on your Facebook and Twitter page. This is a one-time post and there will be no additional automatic posts.

“#NativeYouth are resilient & inspiring! We need to #InvestInNativeYouth! #GenI”

We hope you join our social media flash mob and help support Gen-I and Native youth!

We encourage you to visit our website (www.cnay.org) for a comprehensive list of available resources (scholarships, fellowships, summer programs, grant opportunities, etc.). Thank you for your continued support and interest in the Center for Native American Youth and Generation Indigenous.

Don’t see what you’re looking for? Email us back and let us know what types of Native youth opportunities you are looking for and we can be sure to include them in upcoming emails. We invite you to share your feedback.
Sincerely,

Center for Native American Youth
