Aug. 7 Native Opportunities Weekly: Community Service Mini Grants

M’hahm’ijah! (“Greetings” in the Yavapai language)

This NOW message contains information about Community Service Mini Grants from We R Native!

Start your school year off by getting involved in your community! We R Native provides Community Service Mini Grants (up to $475) to Native youth ages 13 to 21. Past recipients have used their funds to create safety classes, start community gardens, or host a fun run or walk. You can read more about these youth-led projects by visiting the We R Native website.

We R Native accepts applications throughout the year. To apply, students need to fill out the application and describe the plan for the project, including:

  • What do you plan to do?
  • Who will take part?
  • Who will benefit from your service project?
  • How will you promote your event?
  • What is your budget for the project?

Click here to review the application and the full list of requirements.

We encourage you to visit our website (www.cnay.org) for a comprehensive list of available resources (scholarships, fellowships, summer programs, grant opportunities, etc.). Thank you for your continued support and interest in the Center for Native American Youth.

Don’t see what you’re looking for? Email us back and let us know what types of Native youth opportunities you are looking for and we can be sure to include them in upcoming emails. We invite you to share your feedback.

Sincerely,

Center for Native American Youth
