2014 First Alaskans Institute Summer Internship Program

The 2014 FAI Summer Internship Program is open and accepting applications. The program is hosted
by the
First Alaskans Institute (FAI),
a non-profit organization whose purpose is to advance the lives and communities
of Alaskan Natives through community involvement, information and research,
collaboration and leadership development. This program was developed to place
Alaska Native/American Indian rural undergraduate and graduate students into
organizations around Alaska to provide them with real-world leadership
development experiences.

This paid summer internship is 10 weeks
in length and interns are required to work a full-time schedule. Interns are also
expected to secure their own housing/accommodations for the program. This
program is only available to students currently enrolled in a higher education
institution or have graduated from a higher education within the previous
school year.

Fax, email, or mail the following
required documents with the application:

  • Resume
  • Essay & Autobiography
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Official Transcript
  • Include a copy of your Certificate of
    Indian blood or Tribal ID card

 

Application Deadline is March 1, 2014.
