New “Afterschool Planning Toolkit” from NCAI

During the National Congress of American Indians’ (NCAI) 2012 Midyear Conference in Lincoln, Nebraska, a new afterschool toolkit was shared with the audience to assist tribes in conducting an afterschool needs assessment. This toolkit helps tribes identify gaps in service by locating existing programs in the community, start the conversation with youth and families about their needs and identify key barriers that need to be addressed to move forward with planning.

“NCAI hopes that tribal leaders will use this toolkit as a foundation for developing a common vision and an action plan to support their Native youth.” – NCAI Afterschool Planning Toolkit
