Native News Network captures more details about Dirk’s story during a visit to the Ho-Chunk Nation

Native News Network writes a follow up article about Dirk Whitebreast’s 262 mile running journey and efforts to raise awareness of suicide prevention and other challenges facing Native youth. This article highlights Dirk and his family’s tragic loss of his 18-year-old sister to suicide in 2003, and how he continues his emotional healing process through running and connecting with his culture.
